Autumn Leaves and Fireplaces
Romance in the movies has the edge when the scenes are set in an autumnal setting ablaze in red, yellow and orange.
But where to find the perfect spot to experience this in the UK?

If you want to stay close to home, take a stroll through the leaves with me as I reveal my top tips for autumnal romance in the city.
Hampstead Heath
London has no shortage of parks, but for an autumn stroll that feels like you could be in the country, head up to Hampstead Heath.
With close to 800 acres of space to explore, enter the heath at Hampstead High Street for the four-mile stroll past Burgh House up Parliament Hill and back via Kenwood House.
Book a table for lunch at the gorgeous grade II listed 19th Century Holly Bush where you can warm up by the open fire. It’s the perfect spot for warming gastro pub cuisine with a menu that’s pleasing to all palates. You’ll feel like you’ve been away to the country, but it’s really only a short ride back to your cost London bolt hole.
Check into the Zetter Townhouse in Marylebone and set up camp in one of the gorgeous studio suites. The romance continues in the fabulous Seymour Parlour where you can sit by a real log fire and sip on cocktails while listening to the perfectly pitched jazz vocals wafting ambience around the plush armchairs and sofas.
Who needs to leave town when autumnal romance awaits right here in town?
