A Work in Progress
Every day, we step out into the world with the intention of creating a better life for ourselves and making a contribution.
How each one of us does this is truly unique.
Oh my gosh, how much easier would it be if we only had to follow in someone else’s footsteps, similar to a connect the dots instruction manual and presto, the perfect life would be laid out in front of us?
I have no doubt that ‘the perfect life’ would be laid out for us if we followed such a path.
However in reality, just how perfect would it be for each one of us?
I can’t tell you the number of times when I thought how much easier it would be to look up to someone and mirror my life after that person I admired and respected.
In my own mind, I thought ‘wow, I wouldn’t have to worry about making mistakes, being made a fool or being laughed at or worse still, being ridiculed’.
Let’s face it; no one wants to be laughed at, either to our face or behind our back.
But you know what, I came to the conclusion that I really didn’t want to follow someone else; because I didn’t want to be somebody else.
I really wanted to be me and take ownership of me!
In other words, I just didn’t want to be a follower!
Trademarking is about you defining you and not giving others the opportunity of defining who you are and what they think you stand for. It’s about taking ownership of both you and your trademark.
Personal Trademarking empowers you with the ability to stand out from the crowd. In fact, it’s considered almost more important for success today than how clever or capable you are.
You have the power to influence people to see you exactly the way you wish to be seen.
It’s just a case of taking that first step.
