The ‘Wow!” Factor
Everyone knows someone with that indefinable ‘wow factor.’ The woman who moves with ease and grace; whose personal presentation complements the occasion and speaks warmly with eloquence.
We all know that woman – the one who seems to have it all together.
She could be who you want to be.
Many express this hope in a variety of ways. They buy the nicest things that inspire elegance, dress their best and carry designer bags. Does that mean they have the ‘wow’ factor?
Not necessarily so.
When you are gracious, you move with a sophisticated air of self-confidence, from instinctively knowing what to do and knowing the appropriate thing to say.
You must be yourself, in other words, you need to be authentic.
The most important element to gaining social confidence is to believe that we are no different from one another, not better, not worse regardless of outward appearances and so on.
In any social setting, your goal is to make others comfortable with your company. You can do so with a respectful, non-intrusive, light-hearted friendliness when speaking with others.
All too often, women bond too quickly and sometimes reveal too much when speaking for more than ten minutes!
Elegance, as we know, is graciousness in action and possessing a certain confident simplicity. Sophistication proceeds from experience and an appreciation of culture.
It comes from learning about your surroundings and having a refined understanding of different cultures.
Whilst you may not know everything, nothing really surprises nor intimidates you. You are open to venturing into the unknown. You listen and are engaged in learning about someone else’s culture and you are not self-conscious.
Do not let anyone make you feel bad about yourself. In your daily lives, there will always be someone who lets you know they are better than you. In other words, they consider themselves to be more superior, intelligent, wealthy or more skilled than you.
Be inspired, not discouraged. Walk away with your head held high knowing you are a woman of value. You are on your own journey, becoming the woman you want to be, going after your own passion and dreams.
Nobody can take that away from you.
